"Five of the world’s top pastry chefs make the world’s finest chocolates that you can not only eat, but wear. Each competitor designs an evening dress made out of chocolate for a chance to win $10,000. If they want to stay in the running to win their dress has to make it on to a live model and through a real runway show. This competition pushes each chef’s creative limit as they not only test their chocolate skills, but also their sewing and fashion design knowledge." -Food Network
So this is on TV right now.
I'm not watching it currently but I will for the outcome - apparently there will be models who have to go on the catwalk with the contestants dresses. I'm very intrigued lol. What intrigues me even more is what I found after looking this up. Sorry Food Network, the chocolate runway idea isn't anything new. In fact, it's been done quite a few times. There was a runway collaboration with Hershey's, recently there was a show in Shanghai where models were adorned with chocolate pieces as well, even ANTM had pieces with chocolate! I mean really, just googling anything from chocolate runway to chocolate couture will come up with a wide range of results. I wonder what's next, Flying Spaghetti Monster dresses?

Anyway, here's a video of some chococlothes.

edit Just saw the final products. They made a flapper girl dress completely out of chocolate and made it look like beadwork. It was actually really cool and technical, I appreciated it. I'm still skeptical towards all this foodfashion though. I mean, if something comes out really nice it's just a shame to watch it either melt, decay, or be eaten.
