“this is nothing more than a sort of stream of consciousness-y thing ive been writing lately. i saw this timelapse vid today by bluebudgie and was really inspired to experiment with it. i understand how this might be seen as political or preachy or offensive.. but i honestly dont mean to be any of those things. it is directed to me more than anyone else.
sub-point: the track is an instrumental version of everything is on fire”
Ah this is going to be such a bitter sweet Fall RTW season for me for obvious fashion tragedy reasons. It's really hard to motivate myself to write this but anyway, from the recent shows I was very impressed with this one. Especially the large sweater dress (the back looked amazing, so detailed! and the tights? yesplz) and the last dress of the show. And those shoes! Everything about this collection was very clean and had some wonderful tailoring. I loved it. I mean, of course, there are some pieces I'm not so hot for but hey, it happens - the majority of them I thought were wonderful. Overall I thought it was executed very well.
Found out yesterday morning and I literally did not believe it. I denied it. I fought against it. And it wasn't until shown multiple articles on an ipod touch that I could even fathom such a thing. I will never be able to get over this. Ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever. The world has lost a genius. It's adored pink sheep.
so because I was angry at the advertisement world I decided to look up some art and while browsing for abstract things I found this manga called Abstraction by Shintago Kago. It was the coolest craziest thing I've ever seen. Look it up, read all of it NOW.
disclaimer: uh. it gets graphic. so if you don't like that kind of stuff then don't read.
At first one is drawn into the visual appeal and aesthetics of this what with the use of interesting text and music. Very eastern, very Buddhist. Or so it wants you to believe. I, again, am disgusted. I respect the cinematography of the ad, I do, but it's just that this is an ADVERTISEMENT. This is for a huge industry, for superficiality. What I'm disgusted at is the attempt to gain credibility and trust of an audience with the inappropriate usage of these settings, music, typography, and ideals in general.
buying expensive luggage will not enlighten you. buying expensive luggage will not assist in your journey. buying expensive useless things will not bring you peace.
In the end I'm just fed up with these misleading advertisements that many people so easily accept. I have a serious problem with this ad because there is nothing ZEN about SPENDING ALL OF YOUR MONEY for SOMETHING YOU DON'T NEED. I mean a pair of LV earrings are what? Two hundred something dollars? I mean, really.
